Seven Sinners Prayer
I look far, but I cannot see you, o light of the world!.
“He who has eyes”, He flashed.
I have built a bridge of pearls, Lord. It is lined with grain as you instructed. All that I am, for you.
“Father forgive them what they do. It is all they know.”
Blue rocks tower above me. The heavens are too open and bare. May I trade three stones for mammon?
“You have been weighed for the winter.”
The mountain has erupted! The great river is deafening! The abyss!
A smile like a sunrise. “Peace, child. The meek shall bear it.”
The birds have become still, Lord. Now their song is the sweet prayer of feathers.
“Consider, then, the lilies.” he replied.
I shoot to the sun! By thy joy my wings rise, become the fire, lifting!
“No! I weep to cool you, down.”
Wormwood is among the children…unto the fourth generation it burrows…hope of the ages, even so I pray!
The Jesus man looked over all he had created. “It is good”, he nodded. “It is enough.”
