  1. What a beautiful place. That sunset is amazing!!!! I happen to be a Cali-Desert fan although it has been years since I have been I have fond memories. 😉

    • hehe see, you remember. it has charm. but it’s a lonely place to live for social types. I think there is lots of poetry written up here. i think i’ll write one.

      – the little joshua tree –

      some trees point.
      others, know that a way
to go is only a road, a-ways,
      then eventually meets a gate.

      some trees go to extremes
      and point ways to paths,
      where other travelers dont go.
that’s the way trees in Joshua’s

      past, spied the myriad
      ways to know.

there. a nice tribute to squiggly little joshua trees,
and a distant tie-in to the post.

tried to imbed a cool video but blah!

heres a link to Joshua Tree by U2 to the travels of a gut filming his trip the death valley california to visit the site that made the song popular.

      • I like the squiggly little Joshuas…Who like to go where everyone else goes??? How mundane is that? Will have to check out the video on my lunch break…It too should bring back some great memories….Those were the days my friend 😉

        • yes. U2 and bono’s voice ringing out. i wish life near national beauties like joshua tree was always glamourous. sometimes the pritier places ar best appreciated..infrequently?

  2. I am in a cafe and they are playing some songs frim U2’s The Joshua Tree, so it is neat to see your pics. I still haven’t found…

Great pictures. That is one gorgeous sunset, and I love your front yard. Also so good to see cat and dog snuggling :). Namaste.

    • hey marie. more to come. the mornings can get very clear here and mountains incredibly far away become clear.

I’ll try and get good shots of the blasted beauty here.

      thank you. 😉

      • 1WriteWay says:

I bet you have an amazing night sky as well. My husband is an amateur astronomer, and clear night skies are far and few between where we live.

        • there are several astronomy groups that use the area. the night skys here are very clear, and the Orange County Astronomers has an astro-photography group that images up here, if i remember correctly.

  4. I love this post!!! It’s beautiful there!!! Thanks for sharing.
