Poem: In Answer to Moses Hides

May 18 by The Running Son

A wonderful poem from an inspiring and lively fellow blogger. Thanks Bastet.

Bastet and Sekhmet's Library

Moses hides

Ah and so it was
as days became years
years became eons
long long ago

the young became old
believing in dreams
they wanted to trust
asking no questions
just telling lies

casting off wisdom
to others
hoping that someone
would build the tower
in difficult times

refuge they thought
from falling fortunes
never thinking to do this
without kindoms or nations

looking to others
to lead them
show them the way
selling their children
selling their birthrights
for birthrites

so’s not to be bothered
making hard choices
they dispossed themselves
then lamented
as tyranny grew

I heard the sad story
that you told in your lay
of the land of the people

Moses resides.

    Thanks Running Son…you too inspire.

    • 😉 moons and earths and suns all are interdependent on each other, and so are artists. We need each other’s energy. (like people do)

      • Bastet says:

interdependent; but few really know it, it’s one of the strangest things in life, how little we know of how our energy influences each other, even from great distances…in good as in bad…which makes things sometimes even sadder…but sometimes happier as today. 😉

        • Well guess what? Jim has a blog. and Jim has been thinking about “existential” human separation for far too many years. And he is i, and i am tired of it. I could scream from a mountain. It’s so easy ‘not’ to get self-involved and competitive, and so easy and rewarding just to reach out, and connect. And when we do.. creativity happens.
          boom magic. 😉
