It hummed and buzzed for most of three days.
Its home a jail, it’s jail a maze.
dumb bug bumping, a card-spoke sound,
I’ll find that bug before I go crazy.A lazy search was made, nothing found.
I’d hoped it would simply buzz around,
crawl away or shrivel and be gone,
swept to a corner of the ground. My cat, the sound and shadow-flick, saw,
back pressed the ears, out went the paw,
up went a pile of poems and bills
and no bug was ever found at all. There’s no communicating to you these ills.
Keep the windows closed, it pays.
Poems as floor-mats, a peace instills,
and cats curl where poems fuel a blaze.

I like that!
At last the full poem! Very well done r. frost would be envious! 🙂
😉 Loved yours. A tip down the rabbit-hole
Thanks. It wasn’t going to be like that..I wrote another before it, on paper but I didn’t like it, so then I sat down at my keyboard and just improvised. You know, it’s funny, but I just don’t write as well without my keyboard. It’s kind of like picking out a toon on the piano.
I was thinking about just that a few days back. I feel the same.
I wonder if many feel the same…
I hate erasers. It’s distracting.
Yes! That’s it exactly…or having to scribble over and around and cross out and back arrow…ugh! Takes all the fun out of writing!
I’m having the same problem here, Jim. Only my problem is gnats. I do not know where they are coming from.
Love this!
Thanks marie. Notice the Rhyme scheme for “Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening” by R Frost?
Now here’s where I admit I haven’t read Frost since I was in high school and that was so long ago ,,,
I hear you. He was such a clear poet.
HUM BUG, INDEED! Let me know if you find a $$$ Bug!
haha. Maybe under that stack of bills.
