Black Swan Event by Wain Jordan

The beauty of sunrise distracts
from the final scurry
of prey, making
for home,
curling in broken brush-light
or herding,

Love Cats by Wain Jordan

“my writing space”

Poetic Sin is
the din of my inanimate clutter
within. Beginning
with other messes,
like dressing a decent poem
uber-fab, then frosting it frozen.

This drab cell I alone have chosen.
My cat moseys over, poses
bad, moves too slow. Sits right at
the crossroad of ALT,
I write in a mix of cat hair

and soul.

1000 Cantinas by Wain Jordan

“untitled response”

No criminal hack here.
Don’t know you and all,
but I spiral back, a subliminal call
for a sequencing of minimal facts.
I am one backwards cracker-act.
Ephemeral and wispy cool?
more like cave drooling,
with my pocket Fibonacci tool

and spooning for moon-food (& loosing).
Charlie Sheen is a winner.
Bloody tiger features! Got thinner
on crack. Lackey’s still winning,
one cool cat–golden,
man in black, smoking on the bleachers.
Funny the places we find
our teachers.
