RunningSon as of this moment: Hopes

July 7 by The Running Son

My top 3 hopes as of this moment:

1. To fulfill what is, as clearly as I have ever known any fact, my destiny in love. And to give her a ring to engage us.

The Indian Ocean as seen from space

2. To find a palpable spiritual language that transcends the saccharin of the ‘new age’, the spookiness of the occult, the remote secretiveness of esotericism, the rigidness of evangelical Christianity, the institution-heavy tones of the Catholic churches, the academic reticence of the existential philosophers (and even transpersonal psychology), and something that will either mask or unite the still too easternness of Taoism, Sufism, Buddhism and Hinduism, to name a few, to western embedded thought patterns. God alone can make that ambition possible (:

3. To grow. Expand. Disprove the second law of thermodynamics (by allowing consciousness to evolve) and affirm the First. I want to be a closed system open to renewable energy. I want to live in accordance with the impulses that bubble up from the Ground, my collective participation in the divine. I want to be happy, and happy to embrace the darkest hours, knowing that they are necessary, absolutely necessary and needed, to transform us into full expressions. I want to understand the psychological and biological alchemy that makes pain into beauty. I want to love, and lose all disconnections forever.

May each of your hopes become fulfilled in you.
Something of what you are made of, shows in the hopes you hold dearest.

Sorry I have been away from commenting. A lot has happened in your world! I am catching up on your latest posts.

This is so beautiful, Jim! You made me tear up there.

    • It seems to me that people on their path will get this. You are definitely on the path.

      • Eva PoeteX says:

Indeed. I notice I tend to be especially hyper-sensitive when I’m right on track. Everything makes me feel, deeply.

        • That’s it. That’s it. And to think we guys, and all people, want to suppress that honest, immediate experience to avoid further vulnerability. Just when seeing the world is at its very purest.

  7. Jim, I don’t know or can’t find the words to express the beauty in your last couple of posts. My friend, you are an incredible soul. Hugs, Belinda
