Narcissus you have 2 notifications…

I know that gleam.
The cashier at the market
must be obsessed with me.

I know that beep.
Another soul orgasmed
from my FaceBook poetry.

POSTED! do not feed

Please don’t feed the birds.
The bread breaks down, you see,
into sugars,

and before you know it
you may create
a crack-birdy.

Sound absurd? Well.. we’ll see.
But first: you mustn’t leave
children unleashed,

cuz mad frothing geese
may just burn a beeline—
make your picnic a bloodbath,

a curse your posterity
will rush to suppress
or dismiss like a man in a dress

with a genital rash.

We pray… your stay will be sublime.
We hope… the sun above will shine.
But dammit we are not responsible if you get mixed up

in bird-on-bird crime.

kisten stewart i think
im in love maybe
you’re the best
I got lots of love to give
got 300 dollars saved
lets elope to vegas in my ’01 altima
we’ll eat at pancakes houses & for cash
ill lift & sell syrup
& keep you interested
by seedy motel sleep deprivation
& sappy poetry

bad poet sex

She picked a poet
being once informed
that poets were good in bed.

He licked her slowly
from toe-tip to head.

2 days later she got sick
from the spit, plus
his diction was

shorter than a limerick.

chicks dig guys with skills
took too long to draw my bow…

  1. bad poet sex was hilarious, jim! hope all is well with you, sir, best wishes from baldy

  2. Wow you’ve been on a roll! You’re sense of humor is really cute! 🙂 I’ve been meaning to tell you I work right next to a guy that could be your twin or your brother. I think everyone has someone that looks like them. 🙂

    • I talked to a guy around 2005 who was in Orange County jail and said he saw my twin. He was insistant about it and it was spooky becuz being in a ‘closed’ adopted and all makes it a technical possibility. (:

      • Oh wow I didn’t know you were adopted. This guys name is Josh. He’s about 40. He’s an editor works right next to me. He doesn’t have any brothers or sisters but you look so much like him. Especially when he wears his hat like yours in your profile pic. Look and see he’s the guy in the middle. Here’s the link. He also plays in a pink rock band. http://www.cvltnation.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/shame.jpg

        • There’s some resemblance. My adoption was closed which makes the idea of a twin easy to fantasize about. And I have too,. especially becuz i have always had a sense of being cut off or separated.. not uncommon among artists. I imagine it is who a lost twin might feel. (:

          • Yes always like a piece of them is missing. My family has many sets of twins. They are super close and love that. I have a friend that adopts children but their adoptions have always been open. Maybe one day your family or origin will find you! Have you tried to find them? There could be this whole other life out there you never knew you had/have.

            • Never tried, forever wondered. My philosophy was and is family is where family happens. I never wanted to dishonor my adoptive parents. For the wrong dreamer I think the journey after ones roots could be a setup for a fall. I swear to god ive overthunk this one over the years ^_^

            • I bet and you are right in not taking on something that might cause upheaval in your life or theirs. Well if you are supposed to be found I believe you will. Gee you kind of have a dream type life. Never knowing when or if someone might show up! I would over think it is well so I think you’ve done just the right thing!! I love your writing lately. I changed my email and wasn’t getting your updates but I am now! Don’t want to miss the good ones:)
