The damn 2am moon keeps my eyes full.
Perhaps I’d rather not see the blue outlines of everything.
All only a reflection anyways.
Dipping phone lines are not skid marks on the road.
Clean grass lines, curbs, and standardized
sidewalk segments, all retrofitted, measured
and Disneyland tailored, are too wire-framed
with light, and visible.

The round moon outlines square suburban hedges.
The hedges never point north or south exactly.
God is up, and he gives us night, and restlessness.
Confessions are only reflections.
Anyways, the sun never eclipses:
clean gaslight, renewing by the contributions
of space, the dipping in to, and consuming of night.
Hell, my full eyes crescent themselves alright.
